Meet the Team!

Catch-up with our wonderful team of volunteers, who are here to make our day go perfectly and bring joy to whatever they touch.

Groom #1
Tex Fisher
"I'm looking forward to getting married, for both love and also tax reasons" - says Tex.

Born in Hammersmith in a redacted year, Tex, pictured here eating what was described as "the best sandwich of his life", is a ceramic artist and also manages railway performance (for employment, not neurodivergence).

After quitting Circus School due to failure of being impressive on a trapeze, he is currently learning to instead be bad at figure skating.

Groom #2
William Jarvis
"I hope there will be mashed potato". - says Wil.

Brought to earth by heavenly angels in the late 1990's, Wil has been enhancing the lives of everyone he meets ever since, and depleting the stock of Apple juice from any Sainsbury he passes.

A (nearly) chartered Urban Designer, when not assessing the Green Belt you'll find him The Nether.
Our Colleagues
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.

Toastmaster
Chris Darby
"I'm delighted to have been invited to this Wedding Experience by my travel agent, Tex. Also Wil is my favourite twink".

Chris has been a top tier bestie for over a decade. As he is competent and sensible, he has been burdened with the task of Toastmaster for our event, a role he says he is "regretting being given". So what's it to be? White or brown bread?

Best Person #1
George Harvey
George Harvey is a talented musician and a cherished friend to many, but mainly to us, and you can't have him.

George has known Tex longer than anybody cares to admit and says he has enjoyed "most of it", apart from when he's been forced to turn up first at restaurants Tex has booked using a fake name. Table for Marvin Sponge?

Best Person #2
Lewis Hannaby
Lewis met Wil over a decade ago and he's been providing technical support and friendship ever since.
A very talented lighting designer, we are instead forcing him to wear a suit and make a speech. "I don't want to do that bit", Lewis said.
When he's not at our wedding, you'll likely find Lewis building his own church organ with pieces he bought on eBay and going to bed at 4am surrounded by capacitors. "I was devasted when Maplin closed down", he added.

Site Manager
Fraser Cadman
Fraser has been dressed as a character from Twin Peaks for 50% of the times he has met us, but despite this we have become very good friends in a short amount of time, aided by a passion for Urban Planning and Being Online (guess who has that in common...)
"I literally live there?" he says, when asked about our wedding venue. It's true! We have the use of the gorgeous Porter's Farm due to his and his parent's generosity, and we couldn't not put him in charge of the site, because he knows where all the extension leads are kept.

Usher
Joe Farrar
Tex has known Joe since they went on an ill-fated date to a Rainforest Cafe several decades ago. They are now very good friends, despite the fact Joe requested to be called a "Gusher" instead.

When not ushing, you'll find Joe in charge of the world of vegan groceries, volunteering in the community and generally being a very pleasant chap to know. Talk to him about samphire, he knows a lot.

Usher
Alex Norris
You may recognise Alex from being a hair model in Amsterdam or coming fourth in a Princess Diana sound-a-like competition (if she happened to be from Solihull).

Well known as a hater of pre-packaged broccoli and landlords, Alex will be in charge of separating the mixed recycling and adding Kylie to the playlist, despite the constant threats against his person if he continues.

Usher
Steve Saunders
Steve (or Wet Steve to his friends) has been a boulder of extreme friendship, a rock of great kindness and a quarry of companionship for longer than most.

Steve is being paid handsomely for his time, in the only currency he recognises: Onion Bhajis.

Wedding Consultant / Page Boy
Phil Chapman
Phil is a beloved friend and style icon who we couldn't not have as part of our design team, as he goes to weddings every week.

With this unrivalled event knowledge, you will find him supervising and judging our day with an Aperol Spritz that he brought from home.

Usher
Usher
Usher has been an Usher since 1978, and is well-known to be the best Usher on Earth, having ushed at The Grammys 8 times and ushed at The Superbowl in 2024.

Edit (TF): Wil I've looked into this and he is too expensive to hire can we take him off the website please?
